We recognise and celebrate each child's individual personality, interests, culture and family background, and we adapt our provision wherever needed to make sure every child can access learning and feel a genuine sense of belonging. This sits at the heart of our THRIVE curriculum, under our value of Everyone, and shapes how we plan, teach and support children each day.

 

If you have any concerns about your child's development, or if your child has an identified special educational need or disability, please speak to Katy, our manager, who leads on special educational needs within our setting. Our trained staff work closely with families to identify any areas where a child may need extra support, observing closely, listening to parents, and building a clear picture of each child's individual needs.

 

Where appropriate, we liaise with outside agencies, including speech and language therapists, health visitors and the early years advisor, to make sure children receive the right support at the right time. We believe working in partnership, between staff, parents and outside professionals, gives every child the best possible start, and we will always involve you closely in decisions about your child's care and support.

 

Every child also has their own named key person, who gets to know them particularly well which is especially valuable for children who may need extra reassurance or a more gradual settling in process.
